Halcyon Cottage is the shared vision of Mike and Doreen Oddy — a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and a lifelong love of beautiful spaces. With backgrounds spanning goldsmithing, interiors, and design, every detail has been carefully chosen to create a home that feels both special and genuinely welcoming.

We stayed at Halcyon Cottage for a cozy Christmas break and it did not disappoint.
Lovely wood burning stove and the house had bags of charm. The bed was very comfortable and a good shower too. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a full Christmas dinner! Thank you to the hosts for the lovely little extras and excellent communication, all of which really made our stay special.

We had a fantastic stay at Halcyon Cottage, the perfect spot for a simple, stress free seaside break. The house is beautifully decorated, cosy, and just moments from the beach and pier. We loved the thoughtful touches throughout, especially the thermal cups for morning coffee walks on the beach. Doreen was a wonderful host: quick to respond, super helpful, and full of great local recommendations that made our stay even better. We’d happily return and highly recommend!

Doreen’s place was spot-on for our weekend visit to Deal. It’s cosy, well-equipped, clean, quiet, and as central as you can get. Communication was great via the app, and Doreen was helpful from the start. We also appreciated the teas, coffee pods, milk and biscuits!
